Dear Fliers,

Birds are still doing great. They are out flying twice a day when the weather allows it and they are loving it. Watch inventories for missing birds. After a new group is let out to loft fly they are given a few days to do what they want with no pressure from us. Usually 2-3 days before we let out a new group, we take the flag and push everything up in the air 4-5 times. They are allowed to land as soon as they want. We haven’t started flagging them for extended periods of time, just enough to get them to fly and start figuring things out.

We have had a couple people contact us that would like to enter the race but their birds need a few more days to be able to send them. For this reason we are canceling the May 24th deadline for accepting birds. We will instead accept both replacements and any new birds from new breeders that would like to send until June 7th. Then we will be done taking any and all birds. We would rather let them get some age on them and send nice healthy birds rather than rush them and send them too young.

Please send birds at least 35-40 days old. Birds are chipped and vaccinated upon arrival. If possible please vaccinate your birds 2 weeks before sending.

We would like to thank the breeders that sent birds this past week:

The activation perch fee is $75 per bird for every bird that comes back from the activation race.

The entry form to send with the birds is on the website and can also be viewed here: 3pcEntryForm.pdf

The biggest difference we are going to change for this year is that we will go back to average speed to award champion birds. There will be no point system this year.

We will be flying the same course. The activation race this year will be 125 miles. We may add a race at about the 175 to 180 mark to try and help the birds with the 200 mile station that always seems to be hard for them. So there will be at least 5 races and possibly 6 in 2025, 2 of which will be over 300 miles. We will be posting the official race schedule soon. Stay tuned.

Thanks Again! Please call, text, or email with any questions.
