Dear Fliers,
I am sorry to inform everyone that there will be no Plymouth Peak Races in 2026.
I had a job offer that I have accepted. This was not what I had planned and only materialized over the last few weeks. This is why I haven’t been posting any updates. This was not an easy decision to make and I wanted to be sure one way or the other before I made any announcements.
I just feel that this is the best course of action in my life right now, and the one that will benefit my family the most.
Due to the number of birds we get on average, it was always necessary to work another job. Running the race before and after work really cut into family time. My kids are young, and I fully intend to spend as much time with them as possible. I am hopeful my new job will allow that, but unfortunately it won’t allow the time to run the race. I will only run the race if I know I can properly care for and train the birds. I truly love flying pigeons and running Plymouth Peak challenging as it can be at times. It’s the challenges in life that allows us to grow.
I apologize for any inconvenience this causes anyone. We will see where we are in the fall and see if it will be possible to do the races again in 2027. I really do appreciate everyone that has sent birds and supported me in the past and those that intended to this year. Good luck to everyone in next year’s races. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks Again!!
